The main function of the piston is to bear the combustion pressure
in the cylinder and pass the force to the crankshaft through the
piston pin and connecting rod. In addition, the piston, the
cylinder head and the cylinder wall constitute the combustion
chamber.
The piston roof is a component of the combustion chamber, so it is
often made into different shapes. The piston of a gasoline engine
can be either flat or concave, so that the combustion chamber is
compact, the heat dissipation area is small, and the manufacturing
process is simple. Crown piston is often used in two - stroke
gasoline engines. The piston roof of a diesel engine is often
pitted.

of cylinder components resulting in longer engine lifetime .
Moly Skirt

lubricative effect also minimize cylinder bore wear and prevent
piston scuffing .
Phosphating
